Purposeful Interventions is an amazing program when I get the website figured out. Trying to add images to this beast is driving me crazy. I know AI is hoping I take a break. Powering through
There is a reason I work with humans and not computers. I enjoy people and real energy over this kind of thing any day and I know this is a means to an end and I'll be super pumped when I finish this...
Teaching has changed, and many educators are looking for practical ways to release stress, reset after difficult moments, and continue doing the work they love.
Purposeful Interventions for Educators (PIE) provides practical tools to help educators navigate stress, regulate the nervous system, and leave the school day at school.
Teaching has changed. The way we treat educators needs to change too.
- The classroom feels more emotionally demanding than it once did.
- Supporting students often means holding "big feeling events" long after the school day has ended.
- Self care isn't always practical in the middle of a busy school day. Small, evidence based tools are.
- Caring for yourself isn't stepping away from your students. It's what allows you to keep showing up for them.
- Many educators are navigating bigger emotions, complex situations, and more demands than ever before.
What people in education notice over time..
- You replay difficult moments. You care deeply about your students, but by the end of the day, you may feel emotionally and physically depleted.
- Your energy feels different. You care deeply about your students, but by the end of the day you may feel emotionally and physically exhausted.
- You replay difficult moments. Conversations, student crises, or challenging interactions can stay with you long after you've left the building.
- The joy of teaching feels harder to find. Not becasue you've stopped caring, because you've been carrying so much.
You have more choices than you realize.
Small, therapist-informed tools can help you release stress, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with the work you love.
Welcome to Purposeful Interventions Foundations Program where we empower educators and nurture Resilience.
The training Julie created will equip educators with the essential tools they need to improve their mental health and decrease burnout.
Drawing from Julie's firsthand experience and professional training, participants will learn practical techniques to regulate their emotions, stay grounded, and effectively manage stress.
Participants can expect to emerge from this training feeling validated, understood, and equipped with "real tools" that they can immediately implement in their busy classrooms.
Steps to Get Started
1. See if you are at risk of burnout.
Answer these five questions with a simple yes or no answer.
- Do you find yourself frequently exhausted, both physically and emotionally, despite getting an adequate amount of sleep?
- Have you noticed a decrease in your motivation and enthusiasm for work tasks that you used to enjoy?
- Do you often experience feelings of cynicism or detachment towards your job, colleagues, or students?
- Are you frequently experiencing physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, or gastrointestinal issues, especially on Sundays?
- Do you find it difficult to concentrate or make decisions, and do you frequently second-guess your abilities and performance?
If you've answered yes to four or more of the above questions, it's clear that you would greatly benefit from proceeding to Step 2.
