The emotional demands of education are real.

You deserve tools that support you, too.

Purposeful Interventions for Educators bridges that gap through evidence-informed learning rooted in Polyvagal Theory, EMDR-informed practices, Internal Family Systems principles, and practical nervous system regulation.

These aren't just concepts, they are practical skills designed for the real moments educators experience every day.

The same evidence-informed tools I've used  as a Licensed Limited Psychologist, translated into practical skills every educator can use.

What Have You Been Carrying?

☐ The student whose story stayed with you.

☐ The difficult parent meeting you keep replaying.

☐ The classroom that never seemed to settle.

☐  The difficult conversation that stayed with you.

☐ The crisis that followed you home.

☐ The feeling that you're giving everything you have and it never feels like enough.

Why I Created PIE

After more than 33 years as a licensed therapist, I thought I understood stress.

Then I began working as a school mental health provider.

I quickly realized schools have an energy all their own. They're their own culture, their own community, and every day brings something unexpected. Educators move from supporting students through grief, crisis, conflict, and overwhelming emotions...and then somehow jump right back into teaching and find joy every day.

I became more aware of the emotional load educators carry while continuing to teach.

As therapists, we're taught practical ways to regulate our nervous systems and release the emotional weight of difficult experiences. I realized educators rarely receive that same training, despite carrying so much for others.

That's why I created Purposeful Interventions for Educators (PIE).

These aren't just tools I teach, they're tools I use every day. Before school, they help me focus. After difficult moments, they help me reset. At the end of the day, they help me work at leaving the school's energy at school instead of carrying it home.

I believe PIE has the power to change how educators experience their work, not by changing education, but by changing how they move through it.

My hope is simple, to share practical, therapist-informed strategies that help educators understand their nervous system, recover from emotionally demanding moments, and continue doing the work they love.
